CentOSにlsb_releaseコマンドをインストールする †

CentOS6を使用したところ、lsb_releaseコマンドがインストールされていなかったので、
パッケージをインストールして対応した。
以下に対応方法を記します。

lsb_releaseコマンドはどのパッケージ？ †

以下のコマンドでlsb_releaseコマンドのパッケージを検索しました。

yum provides */lsb_release

上記コマンドの実行結果は以下の通りです。

[root@centos6 ~]# yum provides */lsb_release

ファイル名    : /usr/bin/lsb_release

redhat-lsb-coreにあることが判明したので、yum installにてredhat-lsb-coreパッケージをインストールします。

redhat-lsb-coreのインストール †

以下のコマンドでredhat-lsb-coreをインストールしました。
作業はrootで行いました。

yum -y install redhat-lsb-core

lsb_releaseコマンドの実行 †

以下の通り、lsb_releaseコマンドを実行することができました。
[sakura@centos6 ~]$ lsb_release -a
LSB Version:	:base-4.0-ia32:base-4.0-noarch:core-4.0-ia32:core-4.0-noarch
Distributor ID:	CentOS
Description:	CentOS release 6.7 (Final)
Release:	6.7
